For nearly two decades in Nashville, Chris Weaver has mixed southern rock, blues, country and pop for a living on stage while writing original material with some of the city's top writers. Not a typical Nashville artist, his band’s sound is sometimes augmented by horns and percussion that support a soulful voice that draws from a lifetime of different influences.

"The stuff I was into I would say was the Beatles first," he said, “and then I got into Steely Dan, Fleetwood Mac, Crosby Stills & Nash, Joe Cocker, Bob Seger. I wasn't into country much but I like the old guys, I was a big Hee Haw fan. Songwriters like Willie Nelson and those guys, like the 'Rat Pack’ of Texas country. I’m 43, and my influences came from my dad, he had a band for 25 years and a lot of my influences came from his record collection.”

Weaver has written with numerous co-writers over the years, some of whom are hit country song writers such as Harley Allen (Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson), Stephony Smith (Tim McGraw, Dixie Chicks), Matt Rogers (Justin Moore, Dustin Lynch). He has also found success in Brazil, where he teams up with Brazilian music stars Fernando e Sorocaba. "Sorocaba, is similar to the Garth Brooks of Brazil," Weaver said. “He has a duo, there's a lot of duos in Brazil, in Central America really. Sorocaba found me while on vacation to Nashville and brought to Brazil to perform.  He liked a song of mine called 'California High,’” Weaver continued, “and it became one of the songs we do on the Brazil Live record. For about two years we were working and working, doing these huge concerts and traveling down there with the whole band.

People liked that we were an American band and going into these Brazilian venues. Also on Wednesday at 7 p.m. CT, the Nashville singer, songwriter and bandleader Chris Weaver takes to the information superhighway with his weekly podcast to discuss, well, whatever happens to be going on at the moment, and whatever his guests and callers want to talk about.

From music to sports to alcohol, Weaver and his guests, who can include singers like Jerrod Niemann, Dustin Lynch and Shawn Mayer, as well as sports figures like Tennessee Titans color analyst Dave McGinnis and former Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher, basically have a good time shooting the bull in the third season of the podcast from Weaver's home studio.

“One of the most powerful and influential bands in Nashville!”
Ian Byars -Downtown Nashville Bar Operator

“In March 2014, The Chris Weaver Band played for our entire field team and they were nothing short of outstanding. Chris keeps the entire crowd engaged with almost everyone singing and dancing and just having a great time. We gave away signed CDs which just added to the successful night. Since then, we have had Chris play for my team at two smaller events of 50-100 people with both acoustic and with the band. We are bringing Chris and the full band to play for our largest team, yet, in San Diego March 2017.  Always a professional, Chris ensures the sound is perfect and that his entire band is ready to perform at the highest levels.”
Kevin Middleton -Vice President Sales -Genzyme Corporation

“The Chris Weaver Band is simply awesome, with their authentic sounds and amazing range, they have audiences engaged, energized and entertained. we keep coming back for more and they deliver!”
Charlie Piscitello, Chief People Officer – Petco

It is not the fact that all the musicians in the Chris Weaver Band are world class that impressed me the most… And it’s not their ability to play any style of music either… It is the way that they engage as the audience in such a fun and unique way. These are the most talented bunch of musicians I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with. I use them on all my corporate events all over the country. Whether opening for Earth Wind and Fire or a general session with 3000 people, the Chris Weaver Band does not disappoint.

David Fischette President, Go West Creative

“By far the best band I have ever worked with for events. Talented, passionate and will customize their songs and approach based on your company needs. Always my first choice when hiring talent for important events” –
Pete Krainik, Founder and CEO of The CMO Club.

I’ve worked with bands for over 25 years, and Chris and his guys are at the top of my list when it comes to professionalism, performance, and communication. When you’re producing an entire event the last thing you need is to worry about is your talent and confirming those last minute details.  Chris and his team were in constant communication with us from the time we booked them and couldn’t have been better to work with. We have another event coming up this summer and they will absolutely be my first call when it’s time to book our entertainment!

“The Chris Weaver Band is absolutely amazing! They have played at my restaurant and private club numerous times and the guests are never disappointed. Personally, I have had the pleasure of seeing them perform at a special wedding in The Bahamas, and traveled with them to Brazil where they shined for over 100,000 fans! I am always impressed with their stage presence and musical talent! Whether you see them play in a downtown Nashville venue, or you hire them for a private event, The Chris Weaver Band is top notch!”
